AGS Canada supports the ministries of New Sight Eye Care in the Republic of Congo.

The Republic of Congo, also known as Congo-Brazzaville, is a country located in the western coast of Central Africa. New Sight Eye Care is a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering and partnering with local communities to preserve and restore sight. It was established as a registered charity in 2012. New Sight Eye Care recognises that while eye health services are inadequate in many low-income countries, they are non-existent in northern Congo. They chose to serve in the poorest and most neglected communities in the north of Congo.

New Sight Eye Care’s vision is for “a world where no one is needlessly blind.”

Four in five people in the world who are blind or visually impaired suffer from preventable or treatable causes of blindness. New Sight Eye Care is committed to helping people in the Republic of Congo, in eliminating all reversible and preventable causes of blindness and severe visual impairment.
